Hi! I'm Markie.
I'm a certified Holistic Health Coach, Mat Pilates Instructor, and a Functional Hormone Specialist, passionate about helping women heal through from their roots and up. I hear the same frustrating narrative over and over: women's symptoms getting brushed off, being prescribed birth control to manage symptoms, being told things are "normal" when things are definitely not normal. The list goes on, and I'm here to create a new narrative.
Women are battling chronic disease and illness now more than ever, and they deserve real support with real results. That's where my work begins.
Both my Pilates practice and hormone work stem from the same core belief: our bodies hold incredible wisdom and healing potential. We just need to listen and provide the right tools for transformation.
I've been practicing Mat Pilates for over three years and earned my teaching certificate in 2024 through Trifecta Pilates. What started as YouTube classes in my living room grew into a love for this practice. I chose Mat Pilates because it's accessible, restorative, healing, challenging, and strengthening all at once. I became an instructor to offer that same transformative experience to other women.
You can find me doing my work at Craggy Collective in Black Mountain, North Carolina, a wellness collective offering an array of holistic health services. Soon I will be offering my services as a Functional Hormone Specialist to help women come home to their bodies, reconnect with their innate wisdom, and find balance through targeted lifestyle and nutrition support.
My approach honors what your body already knows. Together, we'll help you trust your body's wisdom and create lasting transformation from the inside out.
When I'm not working with clients, you can catch me managing the office at Temple Chiropractic, snuggling with my kitties Wilma and Margo, traveling with my partner Dan, chasing waterfalls, reading while enjoying a cup of coffee, antiquing, or simply sitting on my porch soaking in the moment.
